非常全面和详细的介绍,最下面还有详细公交和大巴站的位置和时刻联接

Here are details of how to get from various UK airports to Leicester. It is easiest by train or coach, although we also provide directions if you are hiring a car. Train ticket pricing in the UK is highly complicated (deliberately, so as to make you part with as much money as possible). We advise you to book in advance through your travel agent if you can, and/or to travel after 9.30am in the morning. But always make sure your ticket is valid for the train you are catching, or you will be charged a lot extra by the ticket inspectors.

Prices will increase closer to the time. Train timetables are here: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk and coach timetables here: http://www.nationalexpress.com.

Leicester train station is very close to the Opal Court and other hotels.

From Leicester coach station (St.
Margaret's), it is easiest to take a taxi to your hotel or to Opal Court.

自驾车来莱斯特的话看下面:

By car:

A map of Leicester in relation to the UK can be found at http://www.le.ac.uk/portals/maps/uk.html. The routes recommended are the best-signposted ones: inward and outward routes differ where stated.

FROM M1 (SOUTH) JUNCTION 21/M69 (NORTH END)

Follow A563 OUTER RING LEICESTER SOUTH/EAST for four miles to lights at junction with A50 NORTHAMPTON road. Turn LEFT, signposted A5199 CITY CENTRE, and follow the Welford Road for 1.4 miles to junction with University Road. In detail note following sequence along Welford Road: two sets of lights; dual-carriageway, with shops and filling stations; traffic lights, followed by playing fields on right. Then turn RIGHT at next lights into University Road.
FROM M1 (NORTH) JUNCTION 22/A50 BURTON

Inward-bound: at busy times drivers are strongly advised to follow the M1 Junction 21 (see above). Otherwise, follow A50 LEICESTER signs along dual-carriageway towards city centre. Near centre A50 signs now indicate NORTHAMPTON. Follow A50 NORTHAMPTON signs through one-way system. When A50 becomes a two-way road again, follow it uphill across railway and past cemetery on left. Turn LEFT at next lights into University Road. Outward-bound: from the University campus, turn RIGHT into University Road. Turn LEFT at first lights into Regent Road. Then follow M1 (NORTH) signs.
