Gordon Brown 很快会访问中国。。

China, UK's Brown to discuss financial turbulence

By Adrian Croft
LONDON, Jan 14 (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Chinese leaders will urge reform of the international economic system when they discuss financial turbulence during Brown's coming visit, a Chinese diplomat said on Monday.
The diplomat, speaking on condition of anonymity, said he expected Brown's trip to lead to some commercial contracts but not on the scale of the near $30 billion of business that French President Nicolas Sarkozy wrapped up during his trip to China last November.
"In order to address the financial disturbances ... I think they will have a very frank discussion," the diplomat said.
"Both Chinese leaders and Prime Minister Gordon Brown will emphasise the necessity to reform or to improve the current international economic system to address major economic issues including the financial disturbances that happened last year," he said.
Brown plans to visit China and India soon.
Financial cooperation, trade and the economy were also on the agenda for Brown's discussions with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, the diplomat said.
Brown has been at the forefront of international discussions on tackling the global credit crunch which last year led to mortgage lender Northern Rock suffering the first run on a British bank in more than a century.
Brown, who is set to meet leaders from France, Germany and Italy on January 29 to discuss the market turmoil, has called for an early warning system to prevent a recurrence.
SARKOZY VISIT
Some $30 billion of contracts were announced during Sarkozy's trip to China in November, including an order for 160 Airbus planes and an 8 billion euro deal with French state-owned nuclear energy group Areva for two nuclear reactors.
The Chinese diplomat said he would be surprised if Brown's trip was accompanied by announcements on a similar scale.
"I think this trip will bring about some commercial contracts or cooperation agreements," he said, without giving details.
Two-way trade between Britain and China last year was worth around $37 billion, he said.
Potential areas of greater cooperation between Britain and China are in the service sector and in fighting climate change, the diplomat said.
China would welcome British capital and expertise to help it restructure its service sector and there was also potential to expand technical cooperation on clean energy projects, he said.
This could include techniques such as carbon capture and storage.
The diplomat said he did not see the importance of Britain's and China's trade and investment relationship diminishing as China's economic power grows.
"As an international financial centre, London has very strong advantages in terms of finance, in terms of fund management. We are already witnessing more and more Chinese companies coming to invest in the UK and to list in London and I presume that this momentum will carry on," he said. (Editing by Stephen Nisbet)
