International Students' Welcome Programme 2011

Welcome to ISWP 2011 where from Tuesday 27th September 2011 to Sunday 2nd October 2011 a detailed orientation programme has been devised to introduce you to studying and living in Leicester. Our programme is for new International, EU, Study Abroad, and International Study Group students.

What should I expect?

This introductory 'welcome' week is specially designed to help you acclimatise and settle in to living in Leicester. The programme includes comprehensive information sessions which will give advice and guidance over important issues such as health provision, opening a UK bank account, obtaining part-time work, safety and secuity. Numerous social events and trips should help you to meet new friends and you will be able to discover how to visit a family in the UK. Experienced current students will be available throughout the week to answer your questions and solve any problems which may occur.
How can I get involved?

To take part in the International Student Welcome Programme you need to fill in the booking form which will be available on this website from 1st July 2011. This website also contains information about travelling from the airport and accommodation during the Welcome Programme.
