Applications are invited from motivated and flexible programmers to join the multi-disciplinary Web Technologies Team at the University of Nottingham. Based within the central Information Services Department, the successful candidate will develop and deliver tools and services for both web and mobile devices using a range of Object Orientated languages (eg. PHP5, Ruby, JAVA, .Net4). Also working closely with academic colleagues to support their research, strong communication and time management skills are therefore essential alongside a willingness to learn new skills.
Candidates should be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and have significant experience of customer-focused application development. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) are essential. Experience of working in an agile, test-driven development environment would be an advantage.
This permanent full-time post is open to job share.
